How to get the student home you want
Here’s a guideline for applying to student accommodation in Leicester.
1. Your shortlist

2. Secure our accommodation guarantee
For a guarantee of a spot in one of our residence halls of residence, please apply by 31 August or earlier if you are a visiting student or exchange student.
3. Mention any other special requirements
We will do our best to accommodate any special requests that may impact your accommodation needs.
4. Please wait for our email
After we get confirmation that you are coming to Leicester, we will email you the details of your accommodation offer and how to accept it.
5. Remember to pay
We’ll need you to make an advance payment of PS400 once you accept your accommodation deal. This will be deducted from your first rent instalment.

If you are only planning to stay in Leicester during term time (41 or 42 week for undergraduates), you should be aware that private rental agreements can last up to a year so you may end up paying for 11 additional weeks you don’t use.
