MIM (Meditation in Motion) Yoga Classes
The MIM Yoga class is designed help synchronize the mind and body in the present. The entire class is intended to be a meditative movement.
While the traditional yoga poses are utilized, the main focus on this class is staying present, and embracing mindfulness practices in every moment (as as best that we are able to).
The MIM yoga session is physically speaking, a light to moderate strength class. Every class starts in yoga asana (yoga postures) and then pranayama (breathing practices) and concludes with a sit-in meditation permitting the participant to shift towards a more profound meditative experience as the class goes on.
The practice of mindfulness is integrated into each class, and assists in fostering and strengthening mindfulness in everyday life.
Instructions may be in writing or without any evidence. This provides the practitioner with an opportunity to gain awareness and be aware of their present state.
